Job summary

Jimmy Jazz in Waco, TX seeks an Electronics Technician to maintain and repair electronic and electrical systems in a high-speed beverage can facility. You will service PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and HMI systems on production lines.

The role requires reading schematics, performing PMs, and supporting automation systems, with rotating shifts including nights and weekends. Strong safety and NFPA 70E compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years Electronics/Electrical Technician experience, preferably in high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic/electrical controls on production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Maintain PLC/HMI hardware and software; diagnose I/O faults.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs and servo systems.
• Assist with installation, startup and commissioning of new equipment.
• Record repair/maintenance activities in CMMS and coordinate with teams.
