Lawson State Community College seeks an instructor in Electrical Technology to teach and develop curricula aligned with the Alabama Community College System guidelines. The role includes updating syllabi, coordinating internships, and collaborating with industry partners to advance student outcomes.

The candidate should have an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent, plus at least three years of full‑time related experience and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics or equivalent is required.
• Three (3) years of documented full‑time experience as a technician in the electrical, industrial electronics or industrial maintenance field.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsabilités

• Teach 30-35 contact hours or 15-16 credit hours per semester.
• Prepare, update, revise and maintain current course syllabus according to guidelines.
• Develop and implement a program of instruction that meets student needs and curriculum guides.
• Plan and employ instructional strategies and activities to suit students’ needs and facilities.
• Coordinate apprenticeships, internships, and Co‑op with Industry and track student progress.
• Maintain program budget and lab equipment/supplies.
