Job description

Keep Arrow International Running Strong

Step into a hands-on role on Arrow International’s second-shift production team and be the expert who keeps our manufacturing lines humming. You’ll dig into mechanical and electrical challenges, restore equipment to peak performance, and make safe, lasting fixes that our operators can count on.

A day in this role

When second shift kicks off, you’ll review work orders and drawings, line up parts, and head to the floor. One hour you might trace a control issue through a wiring diagram; the next, you’ll be swapping a bearing, servicing a motor, or verifying a repair with electrical test equipment. You’ll balance urgent troubleshooting with preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and boost reliability.

What you’ll tackle
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, electrical equipment, and plant power systems to keep output steady and safe.
  • Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, manuals, and verbal guidance to plan and execute work.
  • Diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults and complete timely repairs that reduce production interruptions.
  • Inspect and service motors, controls, wiring, bearings, brushes, commutators, and other components.
  • Disassemble equipment to replace defective parts; reassemble and validate operation using electrical measuring devices.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance that improves reliability and extends equipment life.
  • Track and replenish electrical supplies; request replacement materials when inventory is low.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
  • Alert supervision to faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual operating conditions.
  • Recommend ideas that enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Follow safety policies, use tools correctly, and maintain an orderly, clean work area.
  • Support additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
What you bring
  • Background in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical upkeep, or equipment troubleshooting (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Experience with plant machinery, motors, controls, and electrical systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, manuals, and work orders.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and safe diagnostic methods.
  • Comfort using electrical meters and standard maintenance tools.
  • Skill in problem diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and safe, thorough repairs.
  • Attention to detail, clear communication, and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with production and maintenance teammates.
  • Availability to work second shift.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with operating machinery and varying noise levels.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, push, and pull as needed throughout the shift.
  • Safely handle the tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance work.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 10 days of PTO, plus a paid shutdown week around the Fourth of July.
  • Profit sharing, with two-thirds contributed to your 401(k) and one-third paid directly to you.
  • 401(k) match of 50% on contributions up to 6% of your pay—a company match of up to 3%.
