Job summary

HandCraft Services in Richmond, VA is seeking an industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our production line running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and document repairs with precision.

You’ll work mornings, support safety protocols, and mentor junior techs while collaborating with operations to maximize equipment effectiveness (OEE). A high school diploma and 2+ years in maintenance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge; basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Confidence using hand tools and adherence to safety protocols.
• Team-first attitude with clear communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Physical ability to perform duties; operate forklifts/scissor lifts.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by following procedures and LOTO; spot hazards and fix them.
• Perform routine PMs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
• Support operations and collaborate across departments to boost OEE.
• Document inspections, repairs, and PM tasks clearly and precisely.
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.
• Tackle additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
