Job description

Aegis Worldwide is proud to partner with an internationally leading manufacturer near North Chicago, IL, in search of a 3rd shift Industrial Electrician to join their growing team. The main goal of the team member will be to support operations and keep the plant running smoothly. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting, particularly in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems with a focus on 480V. Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, troubleshooting, and working with 3-phase 480V electrical systems
• Running and bending conduit for installations
• Interpreting and reading electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder diagrams
• Working with production equipment such as sensors, conveyors, feeders, mixers, pumps, dryers, belts, crushers, shakers, fans, feed screws, burners, flowmeters, saws, lasers, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance
• Assisting in ordering parts and maintaining inventory
• Adhering to strict safety protocols and proper PPE usage

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience, ideally in heavy industrial environments but open to manufacturing experience
• Proficient in troubleshooting and programming VFDs, and replacing servo motors and drives
• Knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Understanding of inputs and outputs in PLC circuits (AC/DC outputs)
• Experience with natural gas burners
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC proficiency
• Ability to work every other Saturday and occasional holidays
