Job summary
West Fraser is seeking an Electrician in Arkansas to join our Maintenance team, responsible for repairing, installing, testing and programming electrical circuits and equipment. The role involves routine maintenance, wiring, troubleshooting, and reading schematics, with shifts that include nights and weekends.
Ideal candidates will have a strong electrical fundamentals background, experience with 3-phase power and motor controls, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a large diversified
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills expected.
- Background in Electrical fundamentals.
- Must understand 3-phase and single-phase power distribution and motor controls.
- Experience with 480-volt power and logic circuits preferred.
- Able to read electrical schematics with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical/electronic preventative maintenance on mill equipment.
- Repair, modify, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment.
- Wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing devices.
- Conduct test readings with multimeters and Megger.
- Possess flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
- Adhere to safety rules and complete required training.
