Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Industrial Electrician in Batesville, MS for on-site fabrication and installation work.

The role focuses on electrical installs for industrial packaging and backup power, with duties including wiring AC/DC lights, switches, GFCI receptacles, and load centers. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of electrician experience in commercial/residential settings, strong math skills, and the ability to read shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience as an electrician apprentice or journeyman in commercial or residential work.
• Ability to read a tape measure and compute basic math.
• State certification preferred; a two-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental electrical installs for industrial packaging and backup power.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Industrial Electrician you will perform fundamental electrical installs for industrial packaging on a daily basis. You will also perform all duties related to industrial packaging for backup power.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of basic electrical installation
• Wiring AC & DC lights, 3-way switches, GFCI receptacles, Load Center
• Bending and sizing of conduit, sizing of wire
• Interpret shop drawings

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Schedule

• 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as an electrician in either the commercial or residential field. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• Specific industry experienced desired or an equivalent college degree
• State certification is preferred

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• 3 years minimum experience as an electrician apprentice or journeyman as either a commercial or residential electrician
• Ability to read a tape measure and compute basic math.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• A two year undergraduate degree from an accredited college preferred
