Job summary

Canfor seeks an experienced Electrician for our Iron Mountain Sawmill in El Dorado, AR. You will maintain and repair electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and support safe, efficient mill operations.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, and requires hands-on work in a dynamic industrial setting. Strong focus on safety and teamwork will help ensure peak performance across equipment and production lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in top working condition.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Install new electrical systems, machinery, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Recommend and implement upgrades to improve electrical systems and processes.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Work closely with other team members, including mechanics and production staff, to ensure smooth operations.
