Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in the United States is seeking an industrial electrician for the Production Test facility to construct, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic systems and equipment used in production testing of turbine packages.

You will read blueprints, apply NEC standards, and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical equipment. The role follows a 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thu) with on-site responsibilities and safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or equivalent electrical training completed.
• 3 years of electrical-related job experience.
• Experience reading/interpreting electrical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Work and perform functional testing on electrical/electronic devices.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures for electrical systems.
• Perform hookups and disconnects of circuits and load bank changes.
• Configure transformer voltage and switchgear setups.
• Verify grounding installation before energizing packages and control consoles.
• Monitor facility AC logs and coordinate with maintenance and contractors.
