Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for our manufacturing operations in California. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to keep high-speed production running safely and efficiently.

Qualified candidates will have experience with Allen-Bradley controls, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial power systems, plus a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school certification or formal electrical training.
• 3+ years as an Electrician in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Diagnose problems affecting machinery and processes.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain wiring, motors, switches, and power circuits.
• Install and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and power distribution.
• Operate with Allen-Bradley PLCs, hardware/software, and VFDs.
• Interpret schematics and update electrical documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO.
• Support production with reliability improvements.
