Job summary

MGP Ingredients is hiring an Industrial Electrician for its Atchison, KS plant. The role supports a team of electricians to keep electrical systems running and projects on track across the plant.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with AC/DC drives and PLC logic, and the ability to work in shifts with potential overtime. A background check and drug test are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with 24V–480V three-phase systems and frequency drives.
• Must pass aptitude and mechanical testing.
• Ability to work well in teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to enter and interpret data from computer and operate plant controls.
• Color vision required.
• Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair problems with electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Install, configure, repair and maintain various brands of AC and DC electronic drives.
• Troubleshoot and repair motor and control systems and PLCs.
• Perform electrical building maintenance and repairs.
