Job summary

ADM in Hutchinson, KS is seeking a licensed Electrician for our grain elevator operations. This full-time role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems across facility operations.

You may also assist with general maintenance or millwright tasks as needed to support uptime and safety. Key duties include reading schematics, performing PM on motors and PLCs, and ensuring code-compliant connections.

Qualifications

• Licensed industrial or commercial electrician; license in progress acceptable.
• 3–5 years of industrial/commercial electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Experience with 480V 3-phase wiring, motor control, and diagnostics.
• Willingness to assist with general maintenance, mechanical work, or millwright tasks when needed.
• Able to work in grain-handling environments with dust, grease, and varying temperatures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose 480V 3-phase equipment and drives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, drives, PLC systems, and process equipment.
• Use testing tools like voltmeters, megohmmeters, and IR cameras for analysis.
• Document repairs in CMMS and maintain parts usage records.
• Support basic automation/PLC control systems; programming is a plus.
• Assist with millwright tasks and general maintenance as needed.
