Job summary
Wilsonart LLC in Temple, TX seeks an experienced electrical technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems within the plant, including PLCs and instrumentation. Five or more years in industrial electrical work are required, along with strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
The role involves diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus an associate degree or tech certificate in electrical/electronics.
- 5+ years of direct electrical experience in an industrial environment.
- Extensive experience operating and programming PLCs, drives and controllers.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Installs and maintains complex wiring circuits and distribution systems to code for new equipment/repairs.
- Diagnoses complex electrical troubles and performs necessary repairs.
- Installs/programs/repairs PLCs, industrial controls, and instrumentation.
- Trains others as needed and supports preventive maintenance.
