Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking an Electrician A to join the Dover Alloy group in Dover, New Jersey. Weekend days shift runs Monday, Saturday, Sunday 6AM-630PM, with first shift training on weekdays 6:00A-2:30P. Starting hourly rate is $38.04; $5,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days for external candidates.

The role provides electrical support to the plant, along with preventative maintenance and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, holidays, 401(k), and medical plans.

Qualifications

• This position entails access to export-controlled items.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• No relocation; reside within 50 miles of Dover, NJ.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Requires a minimum of 4 years of work experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and install electrical systems and equipment as specified by supervision or Senior Electrician.
• Inspect circuits and wiring per building codes and safety regulations.
• Proficient in preventative maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Possess knowledge of programmable controllers and associated equipment.
• Assist in training of junior Senior Electricians.
• May perform minor mechanical maintenance when necessary.
• Complete safety procedures and training as required.
• Apply knowledge of plant power and light systems to locate and repair malfunctions.
