Howmet Aerospace in Dover, NJ is hiring an Electrician A to support the Dover Alloy group on the 3rd shift (Sun night–Fri morning, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM). Starting hourly rate is $38.04 with $5,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days for external candidates. Training on 1st shift is provided, with shift premium for off-shift work.

Qualifications

• This position requires reading simple ladder logic and blueprints.
• Candidates should troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and analog signals.
• Familiarity with VFDs and alarm codes is expected.
• Experience with HMI computers and industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment per supervision instructions.
• Inspect circuits and wiring for shielding, grounding, and safety compliance.
• Perform PM on electrical equipment and assist in training other Electricians.
• Troubleshoot plant electrical systems and replace defective components.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
• Possibly perform minor mechanical maintenance when needed.
