Job summary
EMR USA Metal Recycling seeks a skilled 2nd Class Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems on conveyors and related equipment. You will troubleshoot motors, VFDs, PLCs, and read schematics while installing MCCs and control panels.
The role requires a HS diploma or GED, at least 2 years of industrial electrician experience, and an electrician certification. Safety compliance and independent work are essential in a fast-paced facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Industrial Electrician certification required or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of industrial electrician experience required.
- Metals recycling experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFDs, PLCs and electrical components on conveyor systems.
- Assist with the build, and installation of MCCs, control panels, and electrical components as specified by engineering or customers.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and keep maintenance records.
- Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
- Install, examine, replace or repair wiring and electrical components with limited supervision.
- Test equipment such as digital multimeters and current clamps on amperes.
