Job summary

NANA Construction on the North Slope is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to perform a variety of electrical duties on site in an industrial setting. The position is rotational and located on the North Slope, with living accommodations provided.

You will read drawings, install raceways and cables, and wire panels and control systems, while adhering to safety standards and NEC guidelines. Travel across Alaska is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or ten years Journeyman electrician experience will be considered.
• Alaska Journeyman Fitness Card or reciprocal fitness card is required.
• Understand basic electrical theory and NEC Code.

Responsibilities

• Read construction drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Fabricate and install raceways including cable tray and conduit.
• Install cables (MC-HL, MC, EMT) and pull wires safely.
• Fabricate/install electrical panel stands and cable supports.
• Install power distribution systems (24V–480V) and lighting; ensure grounding.
• Install PLC wiring and control wiring for equipment.
• Terminate panels, J-boxes, motors, and instrumentation devices per drawings.
• Test circuits for continuity and safety using ohmmeter, megger, multimeter.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Alaska Journeyman Fitness Card or reciprocal

NEC Code knowledge

Power delivery systems knowledge

Ability to travel in Alaska
