Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC in Mount Holly, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support plant electrical systems and PLCs. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical controls on 13.2kV through 277V systems, read schematics, and work from PMs and WO’s.

The role requires a Journeyman credential or Bona Fide Apprenticeship and at least four years’ electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Four years of troubleshooting electrical controls and PLCs in an industrial facility.
• Ability to safely use meters and gauges.
• Knowledge of NEC and power distribution.
• Journeyman card and Bona Fide Apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for plant equipment using PLCs.
• Calculate circuit sizes and conduit per NEC.
• Provide electrical instruction from prints, sketches and verbally.
• Read wiring schematics, ladder diagrams and PLC programs.
• Input documentation for PLC programs.
• Repair mechanical/hydraulic/electrical equipment as needed.
