Sharp Manufacturing Company of America in Memphis, TN, is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to maintain facilities and plant equipment. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and test electrical circuits including PLCs, connect wiring to fixtures, monitor performance, and ensure safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years’ experience in installation, operations, and maintenance of electrical systems including PLC and PC-based control systems.
• Industrial setting experience with a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.

Responsibilities

• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switches, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic & coaxial cabling, lighting fixtures, and other components.
• Install and troubleshoot mechanical components including fasteners, power belts, pulleys, bearings, lubricants, couplings, clutches, and gear drives.
• Ensure operation of machinery by coordinating preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines; follow diagrams and manuals; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Examine and test electrical/electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Work with blueprints/diagrams to locate equipment and ensure safety code conformance.
• Adhere to safety standards including LOTO and SDS; comply with local authorities and Sharp OSHA requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
