Job summary

Interfor in Fayette, AL is seeking an Industrial Electrician to keep our sawmill running safely and efficiently by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

You will apply PLC expertise to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support production performance on a fast-paced manufacturing site, with opportunities to grow within a leading forest products company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or a technical degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the mill.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLCs, AC drives, motors, and other control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
