Job summary

Dyno Nobel, Inc. in Simsbury, CT is seeking an Electrician responsible for electrical troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and electrical installations across the plant.

Responsibilities include inspecting systems for hazards, testing circuits with meters, reading complex drawings, installing wiring, and supporting machine installation with a focus on safety and Zero Harm. Qualifications

• Must have E1 or E2 license.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing/commercial environment repairing and maintaining electrical systems.
• Journeyman technical school preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Possessor's Certificate through BATFE.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and understand machine processes.
• Must wear PPE including Arc Flash Gear per NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain electrical systems and installations across the plant.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components for hazards and compliance with codes.
• Test circuits and continuity using meters and oscilloscopes.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance at the Simsbury and Westover Plants.
• Respond to on-call pager on a 3–4 week cycle.
