Job summary

A leading lumber manufacturing company in Gloster, Mississippi, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform essential electrical systems and maintenance duties. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment, ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals. Candidates should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience and familiar with technologies including hydraulics and pneumatics. This position requires flexibility for shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous maintenance experience.
• Experience in an industrial environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Respond to maintenance issues throughout the plant.
• Undertake preventative maintenance program for equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics to repair equipment.

Skills

Maintenance experience

Experience with Allen Bradley PLC5 and/or Control Logix

Knowledge of hand and power tools

Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge

Experience with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, HMIs

Experience with high voltage (600-23,000 volts)

Education

High school diploma or GED
