Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform building and maintenance electrical work at our sawmill. The role requires electrical licensing, PLC familiarity, and the ability to read blueprints for industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of verifiable related work history or equivalent education
• State of Oregon electrical license
• Understanding of MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers
• Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in the manufacturing facility
• Maintain control components: switches, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, interface units
• Read blueprints and electrical specifications to determine layout
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot motors, switches, panels, transformers, and lighting
• Identify hazards and ensure safety in the workplace
