Job summary

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is seeking an experienced industrial electrician/maintenance technician to maintain electrical systems at asphalt and aggregate plants and shops in Pennsylvania.

This hourly, non-exempt role operates with indirect supervision. You will read blueprints, install control wiring, troubleshoot motors and medium-voltage equipment, and perform conduit work. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a technical degree preferred, with MSHA and CPR/First Aid training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
• MSHA Certification preferred or required.
• CPR/First Aid training required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew for small projects as needed.
• Install, maintain, diagnose and repair motors.
• Read blueprints (I/O list).
• Install and diagnose control wiring.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot medium voltage equipment.
• Perform conduit bending and wiring practices.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain motor controllers.
• Troubleshoot basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Work overtime and non-traditional hours including nights, Saturdays, Sundays.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
