Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a full-time maintenance electrician for a 2nd shift in a food manufacturing environment. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, assist with major repairs, and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

Starting pay ranges from $33 to $36.50 per hour with benefits including health plans, 401(k) matching, and disability coverage. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent and ability to lift 90 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must understand solid state circuitry and high/low voltages (110V, 220V, 440V, 480V).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose issues with controllers.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and related problems and apply corrective action.
• Assist with repairs and construction for plant buildings and equipment, primarily electrical.
• Perform preventative electrical repairs on cords and motors; assist with maintenance.
• Run conduit and pull wiring; upgrade equipment and replace starters, relays, fuses.
• Perform advanced electrician duties using schematics and instrument checks.
