Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC is hiring an Electrician I to install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems in a food processing setting. The role emphasizes safety, lockout/tagout, and adherence to electrical codes while supporting production needs.

The candidate should possess a State Electrician License, be able to work in varied temperatures, and commit to extended hours as required by production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• State Electrician License required.
• Able to work in varied temperatures and heights with PPE.
• Extended hours Monday–Saturday with overtime as production needs.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures per specs and codes.
• Inspect and repair electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and tools.
• Install or maintain electrical control systems and PLCs.
• Test circuits for safety and continuity using meters.
• Perform preventative maintenance and visual inspections.
