Job summary

OxyChem is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to support site safety and reliability. You will troubleshoot 120 V AC controls, 480 V switchgear, motors and transformers, and read loop drawings, schematics, and P&ID drawings to diagnose issues.

With a strong emphasis on environmental health and safety, you will document work, maintain prints, and learn SAP and other programs while collaborating with a large I/E team. OxyChem values safety, reliability, and career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NCCER Electrical Certification or equivalent apprenticeship program preferred.
• Three (3) years electrical maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental, health, and safety standards as a top priority.
• Troubleshoot 120 V AC controls and 480V/4160V switchgear.
• Troubleshoot motor control systems and transformers; diagnose using drawings and schematics.
• Document work and update procedures, drawings, specs and files.
• Able to work overtime and be on-call as scheduled.
