Job summary

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking skilled Industrial/Commercial Electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across multiple NY/NJ locations. You will work with generators, motors, fire alarm systems, toll equipment, traffic signals, and control boxes, including wiring and schematics.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and journey-level experience, plus a valid Class B CDL with air brakes or a plan to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three years journey-level commercial electrician experience.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL Class B with Air Brakes endorsement or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment.
• Work on projects related to generators, motors, fire alarm systems, toll equipment, traffic signals, control boxes and automatic electrical systems.
• Splice cables, install conduit, BX cable and similar wiring.
• Work at elevated heights from ladders and bucket trucks.
