Job summary

EMR Group is seeking a 2nd Class Electrician in New Jersey to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems. A high school diploma or GED is required; Industrial Electrician certification is preferred.

The role involves working with PLCs, VFDs, schematics, and HMI/PLC interfaces, often in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include rooftop maintenance, installation of MCCs and control panels, and ensuring safety procedures and codes are met.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED
• Industrial electrician certification or equivalent
• 2+ years of industrial electrician experience
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs and reading schematics

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFDs, PLCs and components on conveyor systems
• Assist with build and installation of MCCs, control panels and electrical components
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and keep records
• Observe safety procedures and electrical codes
• Install, examine, replace or repair wiring and electrical components
• Test equipment such as multimeters and ammeters
