Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrician for our Mapleton, IL facility, with 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Pay starts at $35.81 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential.

This full-time role includes benefits such as health insurance, PTO, holidays and a 401(k). Qualifications

• Comprehend oral instructions and work orders to determine tasks and material needs.
• Proficient in electrical and electronic theory applied to plant operations and equipment.
• Interpreting schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Three years of experience, or equivalent, before performing intermediate tasks on electrical/electronic machinery and equipment.
• Two years of experience, or equivalent, before basic mechanical installation or repair.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, repair electrical and electronic circuits used on machine tools and plant equipment.
• Apply knowledge of operation of electronic circuits to locate defects using instruments.
• Test faulty equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in electronic units and systems.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic counters and recorders.
• Calibrate and service electronic testing instruments.
• Electrically troubleshoot and repair complex machine tools and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines.
• Support electrical aspects of new equipment installation.
