Job summary

Metal Container Corporation (MCC) in Oklahoma City is seeking an Industrial Electrician Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. You will support high-speed packaging equipment, troubleshoot 480-volt three-phase systems, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will program and maintain PLCs, diagnose drives and control systems, and work with operators and maintenance staff to maximize uptime and quality.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC drives and high-speed manufacturing systems.
• Strong computer skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and computer-controlled process systems.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC drives, servo systems, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, and temperature control systems.
• Maintain electrical controls, instrumentation, and automation systems for manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and meets quality standards.
• Communicate equipment status during shift handoffs and provide technical support as needed.
