Job summary

Knight's Companies Inc. seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems across Knight's Redi-Mix, Knight's Precast, and related facilities. You will assess and troubleshoot electrical equipment, read blueprints, and ensure safety and compliance.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, SC license eligibility, willingness to travel, and ability to work shifts, overtime, nights, and weekends to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installations and repairs.
• Current Electrical Contractor's license or ability to obtain it within a reasonable period.
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a ready mix concrete plant strongly preferred.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• willing to travel and work varying shifts, overtime, nights and weekends.
• Experience complying with OSHA and state environmental regulations.

• Routinely assess current electrical systems to proactively identify potential issues; report upgrades/repairs to Plant Maintenance Manager.
• Communicate with Plant Maintenance Manager, Plant Managers, and other personnel to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, VFDs, and sensors.
• Install conduit, wiring, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes; conduct regular safety inspections.
• Read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and data in logs.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Industrial Electrician plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of all Knight's Redi-Mix, Knight's Precast, and Knight's Companies' electrical systems! This exciting position involves the maintenance and repair of electrical systems across all our plants, batching equipment, office buildings, and other essential structures. What You'll Do:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture while upholding the company's core values.

• Routinely assess current electrical systems to proactively identify potential issues. Report needed upgrades and/or repairs needed to the Plant Maintenance Manager for review and scheduling.

• Communicate with Plant Maintenance Manager, Plant Managers, and other plant personnel to assess and troubleshoot electrical issues.

• Troubleshooting and repairing automated, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, VFDs, and sensors.

• Installing conduit, wiring, and industrial electrical equipment.

• Adhering to local, state, and national electrical codes, and conducting regular safety inspections.

• Reading blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and technical data in logs.

• Perform other duties as required.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical installations and repairs required.
• Current Electrical Contractor's license, or the ability to obtain licensing within a reasonable period of time.
• Prior experience in a ready mix concrete plant strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely use miscellaneous tools, such as sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pneumatic hammer/drill.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with others.
• Must be able to work varying work shifts with varying start and stop times.
• Ability to travel is required.
• Overtime work plus nights and weekends may be required.
• Experience complying with OSHA and state environmental regulations required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach, and operate a computer keyboard.
• Ability to safely climbing up and down stairs and/or ladders.
• Ability to work primarily outside, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
