Job summary

Clifford-Jacobs Forging is seeking an Electrician to perform all plant electrical work in Champaign, IL. The role offers a four-day work week (Mon-Thu, 5 am–3 pm) with pay consistent with IBEW #601 Inside Journeyman Wireman.

Requirements include 1 year of manufacturing experience, industrial electrical experience, and the ability to troubleshoot 120V–480V and 3-phase systems. You will diagnose and repair electrical issues on industrial equipment, install and maintain motors, VFDs, sensors, and

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues on industrial equipment and machinery.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, controls, VFDs, sensors, and PLC-related systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, new installations, and plant improvements.
• Installs, repairs, and/or replaces AC/DC motors and drives, starters or relay.
• Installs, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, support structures, fiber-optic, line assemblies, lighting.
• Replace belts on all plant motors.
• Repair boiler controls.
• Drive fork-lift truck.
