Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join a leading steel manufacturing operation in Seattle, WA. The role reports to the Electrical Lead and Electrical Supervisor and supports Melt Shop or Rolling Mill operations.

The incumbent will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain complex electrical and automated production equipment in a fast-paced setting, prioritizing safety and teamwork to maximize reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years as an Industrial Electrician in heavy industrial environments (steel mills, refineries, etc.).
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of motor controls, instrumentation, loop devices, and process control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and DC motor systems.
• Electrical testing and troubleshooting with multimeters and diagnostic gear.
• Prior mill/manufacturing experience and ability to work independently within a maintenance team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 production setting.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.

Shift: DuPont Schedule (15-17 working days per month)

• Day Shift: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM


• Night Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-5+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician working in heavy industrial environments such as steel mills, manufacturing plants, paper mills, refineries, or similar facilities.


• Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment and machinery.


• Strong understanding of:


• Motor controls and electrical instrumentation


• Loop devices and process control systems


• PLCs, robotics, and DC motor systems


• Electrical testing and troubleshooting using multimeters and diagnostic equipment


• Prior experience working in a mill, manufacturing, or high-production industrial environment.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a maintenance team.


• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, mechanically curious mindset. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing equipment, and continuously learning.


• Comfortable working rotating shifts in a 24/7 production environment.
