Must haves:
- 4-6 years of experience as an industrial electrician (not commercial or residential), troubleshooting and fixing heavy equipment or heavy industrial machinery.
- High School Diploma with 4 years of Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience OR discipline related Technical Training Certificate OR Associate’s Degree with 2 years of Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting Experience OR Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
- Coachable personality and team player! Willingness to learn and eager to join a motivated team. Strong communication and willingness to learn!
- Working knowledge of:
- ACDC motors, Variable Speed Drives, Network & PLC programmable Logic controls experience
- Knows how to use different multimeters to perform motor testing and troubleshooting.
- Power Distribution and High Voltage Understanding
- Works well individually as well as on a team
- Knowledge of Electrical Theory
- HMI Programming Experience (Wonderware)
- Experience or willingness to operate in shifts. 4 on 4 off (alternate between day and night)
Plusses:
- Prior Mill experience relevant to the role
- DC overhead crane experience
- Has mechanical aptitude and knows pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.

Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join an enterprise Steel manufacturing team in South Carolina. This person will report to the Electrical Lead and the Electrical Supervisor in the melt shop. They must be committed to their own personal safety and the safety of others. They are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems individually and as part of a team with other maintenance personnel. This person should be able to function well in a high production environment applying a craftsman expertise and acumen.
