Job summary

ECOLUTIA SERVICES INC in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a skilled Plant Electrician to support reliable operation and maintenance of plant equipment and mobile fleet.

The role focuses on wiring and maintaining industrial electrical systems, reading drawings, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance; strong problem-solving and ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as industrial electrician.
• Proficiency wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems.
• Experience with ion exchange and mobile water treatment systems is highly desirable.
• Licensing: Journeyman or Master Electrician.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards; UL 508A panel experience a plus.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and installation of equipment, ensuring safe and compliant connections.
• Panel building according to drawings provided by Others.
• System maintenance and preventive maintenance for electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting electrical faults in stationary and mobile systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Documentation: maintain wiring diagrams, logs, and repair reports.
• Collaboration with mechanical and water treatment Technicians to coordinate efforts.
• Emergency on-call support for electrical issues and rapid resolution.
• Participation in Health and Safety program.

Ecolutia Services is looking for a skilled Plant Electrician to join our team in Port Arthur, TX. This exciting and pivotal role is to support the reliable operation and maintenance of our plant equipment and mobile fleet. Skills we are looking for

• Control systems 24 V and 4-20 mA
• 3 phase low voltage installations (under 1000v)
• Single phase AC installations
• 3 phase motors
• Variable Frequency Drives
• Reading and interpretation of electrical drawings
• Fault finding
• Testing and inspection

Responsibilities:

• Wiring and Installation: Install, wire, and maintain equipment, ensuring all electrical connections meet safety standards and operational specifications.
• Panel Building: Ability to construct control panels according to drawings provided by Others
• System Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical faults in both stationary and mobile systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability.
• Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices and safety standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including wiring diagrams, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical and water treatment technicians to coordinate efforts and ensure integrated system functionality.
• Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for electrical emergencies and system failures, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
• HSE – Participation in companywide Health and Safety program

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems. Experience with ion exchange and mobile water treatment systems is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Relevant electrical licensing and certifications are required (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician). Additional certifications related to water treatment systems are a plus.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. UL 508A control panel experience a plus.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical stamina.
