Job summary

Premier Tech in Montgomery, AL is seeking an experienced electrician/mechatronics technician to support a skilled electrical team. You will review schematics, install sensors, wire motors, and troubleshoot I/O and control panels within an automated facility.

The role requires reading electrical and pneumatic schematics, forklift operation, and proficiency with hand tools. A technical degree is preferred and prior industrial experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree from a Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, or equivalent program — preferred.
• Three years of industrial or commercial electrician experience.
• Ability to read internal and external electrical schematics.
• Ability to read pneumatic schematics.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Proficiency with hand tools, drill motors, soldering guns, pipe benders and threaders and jig saws.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing schematics and customer specifications.
• Print validation and redlining.
• Troubleshooting and I/O validation.
• Installation of photoeyes, proximity sensors, light curtains, etc.
• Wiring motors, electrical and pneumatic devices.
• Applying conduit and trough to machines.
• Routing wires and cables through conduit and troughUsing electrical and mechanical hand tools as needed.
• Building control panel inserts.
• Building and wiring remote consoles.
• General housekeeping and department maintenance by implementing 5S methodology.
