Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded Industrial Electrician to join a production and manufacturing facility in Metairie. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal facility performance, minimal downtime, and adherence to top safety standards.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment, including motors, VFDs, transformers, generators, and lighting systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical issues using testing equipment and hand tools.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems (working with 480V, 220V, 110V, and three-phase power).
Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering diagrams, and blueprints.
Apply PLC experience to diagnose and support automated industrial controls.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
Collaborate with maintenance and operational staff to address electrical issues impacting production.
Experience: 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience (or an equivalent combination of trade education and hands-on experience).
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with 480V/220V/110V systems, three-phase power, VFDs, and PLC/schematic troubleshooting.
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or technical trade education preferred.
Safety Awareness: Solid knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health & Safety regulations, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in varying indoor/outdoor environment temperatures (heat and cold).
