Job summary

Sonoco Hanover PA is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain and improve electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position is on the 1st shift (7am-3pm) with overtime as needed, offering a pay range of $34.59-$40.14 per hour.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and program PLCs and HMIs, interpret schematics, and install upgrades while ensuring safety and production targets are met. 3–5 years of experience and NEC knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Strong knowledge of NEC electrical codes and safe wiring practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, control systems, motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs to ensure reliable equipment operation.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues affecting safety, quality and productivity.
• Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and electrical codes.
• Communicate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Overtime and respond to equipment breakdowns as required.
