Job summary

NABRICO Marine Products in Ashland City, Tennessee is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical systems and industrial equipment supporting barge manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have advanced troubleshooting, experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation, plus a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement to maximize uptime and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing or marine environments.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, relays, sensors, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals; NEC knowledge.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Install and modify wiring, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and automation.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement.
• Work safely and follow LOTO procedures; document work orders.
• Mentor less experienced staff and maintain accurate records.
