Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Ironton, MO is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across a granule manufacturing plant.

The role ensures safe, reliable operation of motors, drives, MCCs, PLCs, and instrumentation while complying with safety standards. Qualifications include Journeyman Electrician certification, a high school diploma, and 3–5 years in industrial electrical maintenance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent trade qualification.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing or industrial plant operations preferred.
• Experience with electrical safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of safety codes and instrumentation.
• Must learn Maximo CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.
• Diagnose and correct electrical failures using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain and repair motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, switches, and related electrical components.
• Support plant production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety standards.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
• Utilizing Maximo CMMS
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Collaborate with operators, production personnel, and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues.
