Vermont Cider Company is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join their team in Middlebury, VT. If you have Allen Bradley PLC and electrical experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting, Vermont Cider Company wants to hear from you!

A day in the life as an Industrial Electrical Technician with Vermont Cider Company:

• Complete work orders and provide maintenance/electrical support.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and VFD controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools.
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements; Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up time.
• Utilize Guide TI to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including sourcing and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
• Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPI's.
• Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safe work practices are used at all times and to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
• Comply with all VCC policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted within local, state and federal laws.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and electrical experience required; 3-year industrial electrical/programming experience, two-year technical degree and or licensed electrician .
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience troubleshooting motor control and mechanical systems
• Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley () PLC’s, VFD’s, instrumentation and other industrial control components .
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics required.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six-sigma analysis), propose, and implement remedies; ability to perform calibrations, installation, and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
• Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience .
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment .
• Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing, and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes.
• Ability to work overtime, second or third shift, and to provide support after hours as needed
