Job Description Summary

The Industrial Electrical Technician is pivotal in GE Gas Power’s manufacturing process and will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of system-controlled robotics, machine tools and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical aspects of CNC machine tools, PLC ladder, VFD motors, and robotics
• Diagnose problems, plan and complete work required, identify and order parts
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, test and repair electrical and electronic control systems up to 600V
• Maintain and modify machine tools, process equipment and facilities
• Apply knowledge of components, devices and equipment used in industrial equipment applications and the related electronics including AC and, motors controls, electronic drives, PLC, instrumentation and sensors

Qualifications / Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics OR High School Diploma/GED with Military Advanced Electronics Training Course

Eligibility Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends
• Ability and willingness to work either 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Monday - Friday

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum 3 years work experience in Manufacturing Facility in a technical maintenance role
• Familiarity with electrical motors and control circuits
• Strong electrical fundamental and safety knowledge (electrical schematics, NFPA 79, LOTO)
• Prior experience with operating systems, software and ladder logic (Fanuc, Siemens) used in PLC systems to diagnose and repair circuits to restore operation

Pay & Benefits

The hourly base pay range for this position is $37.47/hr to $45.68/hr. This position is also eligible for a Night Shift Bonus of $1.00/hour and a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
