Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to support the manufacturing process by operating, maintaining and improving system-controlled robotics, machine tools and equipment in a dynamic plant environment in New York.

The role requires repairing CNC tools, PLCs, VFD motors, and robotics, diagnosing issues, and ordering parts. Shift work (2nd or 3rd) is required, with safety training and NFPA 79/LOTO knowledge emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics OR High School Diploma/GED with Military Advanced Electronics Training Course.

The Industrial Electrical Technical is pivotal in GE Gas Power’s manufacturing process and will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of system-controlled robotics, machine tools and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

Qualifications / Requirements

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends
• Ability and willingness to work either 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Monday - Friday.

Desired Characteristics:

• Minimum 3 years work experience in Manufacturing Facility in a technical maintenance role
• Familiarity with electrical motors and control circuits
• Strong electrical fundamental and safety knowledge (electrical schematics, NFPA 79, LOTO)
• Prior experience with operating systems, software and ladder logic (Fanuc, Siemens) used in PLC systems to diagnose and repair circuits to restore operation.

The hourly base pay range for this position is $38.97/hr to $47.50/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases. This position is also eligible for a Night Shift Bonus of $1.00/hour.
