Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Fremont, CA. This on-site role reports to the Director of Electrical Engineering and involves hands-on wiring, assembly, and test setup work essential to our SOFC/SOEC technology.

The candidate should have a high school diploma with training certification, be able to lift 35 lbs, and wear PPE while maintaining strict safety practices. On-site work five days a week, with opportunities to contribute to a safer, more reliable

Qualifications

• High school diploma with training certification is required.

• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures; basic dexterity for assembly.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow electrical test setups.

Responsibilities

• Rework wiring harnesses as technical changes arise.
• Create wiring lists, and convert to electrical drawings.
• Follow wiring diagrams and develop/verify test setups.
• Perform complex and advanced assembly per spec and instructions.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools such as strippers, crimpers, drills.
• Perform quality checks on completed work.

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Electrical Engineering and is based in Fremont,CA. This is a fully on‑site, in office role5days a week.

Responsibilities

• Rework wiring harnesses as technical changes arise
• Create wiring lists, and convert to electrical drawings
• Must be able to follow wiring diagrams and develop/implement/verify test setups
• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions
• Familiarity using hand and power tools such as wire strippers, manual/electric crimpers, impact drivers, drills, etc.
• Perform quality checks on completed work

Skills Required

• Prior experience working with 400 Vdc and 480 Vac, or higher voltage systems
• Basic computer skills and hand/power tool experience
• Ability to solder and desolder, create cabling and wire harnesses, and assemble test stations
• Familiarity with setup/operation of test/measuring test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.
• Experience/familiarity creating requests‑for‑quotes, purchase requests and orders
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross‑functional working relationships
• Will demonstrate electrical safety practices including Lock‑out‑tag‑out
