Job summary
Arlington County's Department of Environmental Services seeks an Electrical Power Technician to maintain and improve complex electrical equipment at a wastewater treatment facility operating 24/7. Trainees may start at EPT I with progression to EPT II, involving design, installation, maintenance, and diagnostics of medium voltage systems.
Position requires NEC Master Electrician License, Confined Space Entry certification, and ability to work in a challenging industrial environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and relevant licenses or certifications.
- Experience with electrical preventive and corrective maintenance in industrial settings.
- NEC Master Electrician License and Confined Space Entry certification required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical equipment.
- Design, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in WPCP and lift stations.
- Lead projects and coordinate with other agencies or contractors.
- Train staff and document work with CMMS.
