Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking an Electrical Mechanic for our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance, routine preventative maintenance, installation, service, and repair of complex machinery in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has electrical and mechanical experience, familiarity with hydraulics/pneumatics, and strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to read drawings, work with sensors and limit switches, and operate power transmission

Qualifications

Candidates should have electrical and mechanical experience, with familiarity in hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery, read mechanical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of power transmission equipment, sensors/limit switches, and 3-phase power systems.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft software; PLC troubleshooting skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and timely electrical support and preventative maintenance on multiple machines.
Install, service, repair and troubleshoot electrical/electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and control diagrams.
Troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems down to component level (2–3 years preferred).
Work flexible hours and overtime as required.
