Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain plant equipment and facilities in peak condition. This role performs scheduled preventive maintenance and urgent repairs, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Candidates must follow safety rules, use PPE, and maintain clean, organized work areas. The job requires reading measurements, using various testing devices, and collaborating with vendors and team members to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Proficiency with measuring devices; electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as lubrication, wear measurement, positioning, and observing operations.
• Perform emergency/breakdown maintenance as needed to support plant operations.
• Reference equipment manuals and other technical literature.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
• Accurately use measurement and test equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and related paperwork.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Maintain teamwork with other associates.
• Keep supervision informed of problems and unusual situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
