Job summary

Chicago Steel Holdings LLC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of production machines, buildings, forklifts, and overhead cranes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager; this position will be responsible for maintenance activities within the department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines, buildings, forklifts and overhead cranes and for preventative maintenance of plant and production equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply electrical theory to test and troubleshoot machinery and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
• Plan, direct, and record maintenance standards.
• Recommend or initiate modification or replacement of faulty equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Electrical Experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively, written, and oral.
• Team-oriented and work well in a busy workplace.
