Job summary

Cemex US in California is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment and line systems across our operations. You will read blueprints and diagrams, determine repair approaches to minimize downtime, and perform preventive maintenance while collaborating with the production and maintenance teams.

Candidates should have at least five years of industrial electrical experience and a solid understanding of NEC and high/low

5 years of industrial electrical experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, replace, install and maintain electrical equipment, gauges, instruments and process control equipment.
Read from blueprints and electrical drawings including ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams and one-line drawings.
Determine the best way to repair to minimize interruption of AC & DC equipment.
Advise when immediate shutdown is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation has no harmful effect.
Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain and assemble electrical and instrument equipment.
Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace or adjust faulty parts and wiring on motors, generators, relays, switches, breakers, transformers and panels.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
